Strat-Algae
Algae wars are much more tactical than we thought. Microcystis aeruginosa secretes sabotaging chemicals to hoard resources.
M. aeruginosa = type of cyanobacteria in algae blooms
Releases anti-vitamins mimicking B1
Absorbed by neighboring algae, blocking actual B1
M. aeruginosa’s uncontested access to real B1 helps it grow fast while killing off competitors. Further research could help us better mitigate the negative impacts of toxic algae blooms. Or generate a cool origin for an apocalyptic thriller.
F1 Scooter
The world isn’t ready for this 100mph electric scooter. Bo’s “The Turbo” scoot aims to shatter records, and wallets.
Power: Two 24kW motors
Range: 150 miles (1,800Wh battery)
Brake cooling inspired by Formula 1 engineering
The Turbo hit 85 mph at Goodwood Festival of Speed this year as part of its build to break 100 mph. Consumers can snag one for $29,500, IF their racing resume passes the application process. Probably faster than Red Bull’s 2nd car 👀
